Carey took a two year sabbatical from the company to work as a Senior Designer for the U.S. Department of State, designing for our Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission residences. Diplomatic Security prohibits him from using photographs of the embassies in his portfolio. The entire portfolio included embassies in 72 countries around the globe. Some of the most notable embassies Carey designed are located in Rome, Berlin, Havana, Helsinki, Beijing and Johannesburg.
